![]() The vapor travels from the compressor to the condenser. When the pressure is great enough, it pushes open the discharge valve, allowing the compressed vapor to escape. When the piston moves up, it squeezes the vapor in the cylinder, compressing it. When the pressure inside the cylinder is greater than the pressure from the evaporator, the suction valve closes, trapping the vapor inside the cylinder. Since the pressure in the suction line is now greater than the pressure in the cylinder, vapor from the evaporator pushes down he suction valve and fills the cylinder. When the piston moves down it creates a suction. The shaft from the motor is connected to an eccentric which spins in an oscillation motion. ![]() The motion of the piston is controlled by an electric motor which spins in a circular motion. ![]()
